we’re Sarah + Daniel
A husband and wife team working to turn backyards into Snackyards.
Whether it is in the garden or around the fire pit, we wholeheartedly believe that spending more time outdoors and fostering relationships with Nature is as good for you as it is for the broader environment. This is why we are on a mission to create beautiful spaces that facilitate a connection to your food, your region, and your local ecosystem - filled with snacks for both you and wildlife.
Growing food and spending time outside has always been fundamental to who we are both as individuals and together.
Similar backgrounds in nonprofits and sustainable agriculture fortunately led our paths to cross. When our mutual love for sending time outdoors and digging in the dirt became undeniable, the rest was history. We quickly found ourselves beginning life together transforming our own quarter acre backyard into an urban homestead and pollinator sanctuary.
In a rapidly changing and unpredictable world, our garden continues to be a stabilizing source of comfort that allows us to nourish ourselves and connect with loved ones through sharing the harvests and breaking bread. More than just a source of beauty, our garden gives us purpose as we make meaningful contributions to the health of our ecosystem and community. It is a feeling we want more people to experience.
This is why we decided to start Abundance Landscapes and Gardens.

Lucy | Snackyard Pup
Since her adoption in 2010, Lucy has always dreamed of patrolling her own homestead. After years of experience fending off backyard squirrels and rabbits, her goal became reality when she accepted the role of head guard dog at the Abundance Homestead. Nearing retirement at age 13, she still emphatically enjoys hanging with the chickens, keeping pests out of the garden, and eating as many carrots and radishes as possible - the key to her youth.
