In these photos from a recent project in Stone Mountain, Georgia, you’ll see a typical suburban yard reimagined as wildlife habitat. A wildlife pond anchors the space, inviting frogs, dragonflies, and birds to take up residency, while creating a symphony of nature sounds in the evening to drown out the sounds of nearby Atlanta. The pond is surrounded by a meadow planted with over 1,000 native meadow plugs that stitch the landscape into something that will eventually resealable nature preserve. A winding flagstone path, nearly 200 feet long, leads you through though the meadow, and a backdrop of over 15 native understory trees grounds this design in natural beauty.
